2nd Announcement
Update (Apr 30, 2017)
Early Registration extended to May 3, 2017
Due to a glitch in the registration system over April 29-30, early registration will stay open up to May 3rd.
LBTO 2017 Users' Meeting - June 20-23 - Florence, Italy
Held every three years, the LBT Users' Meeting brings together LBT users, LBTO astronomers, and members of the observatory's governance for three full days of presentations, discussions, and demo workshops.
With the LBT facility instruments now commissioned in pairs, LBTI routinely used by all partners in incoherent or coherent mode, the ultra-high resolution of the PEPSI spectrograph available, and LINC-NIRVANA en route for Lean-MCAO observing, the 2nd Users’ Meeting will focus on enabling LBT to realize its full potential as both a pair of 8.4m telescopes and, thanks to its interferometric capabilities, a forerunner of the ELTs.
If you wonder why you should come, here are a few compelling reasons:
- Share your scientific results.
- Initiate new collaborations.
- Observing in binocular mode? Bring your ideas or your questions!
- Learn about the observing tools: Mask design, PIT (Phase 1 Tool), OT (Observation Preparation Tool)
- Bring your data-related issues (calibration, data processing, image quality) and get answers!
- Learn more about the new instruments to come or present the science for which you would like to use them.
- Share your ideas on how to use the unique capabilities LBT is, or will be, offering.
!! The abstract submission deadline for oral presentations at the LBTO 2017 Users' Meeting is April 21, 2017 AoE (24hr UTC-12) !!
Abstract Submission is one click away from the Users’ Meeting website and does not require you to register to the UM.
